About Retrograde Walks

My name is Dyren, and my passion for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I studied zoology with the goal of becoming a zoo veterinarian and have over 10 years of hands-on animal experience. That passion eventually led me to create RetrogradeWalks, a dog-walking business built around bringing back the true purpose of a walk: connection, exploration, and enrichment. I believe dogs deserve more than a quick bathroom break before heading back inside. They deserve time to sniff, explore, play, and experience the world around them through the senses they were born to use. At RetrogradeWalks, every walk is about the individual dog, their needs, and the bond we build with them—because dogs are more than pets; they’re our best friends, and they deserve to be treated that way.
